Granted, enough time has passed now that it is probably no longer an option, but I think at the time of the banners being destroyed (and John’s business being set on fire) was the crusial point that police should have gotten their suspect. It seems to me, the obvious thing to do would have been to place a third banner up, and use video surveilance on the banner to catch the person or persons, in the act of destroying it. While this very well could have been random acts of vandalism by local youths, it also could have been someone connected to the disappearance of John. As I said, at this point it may be too late for something like this to work, but may be considered.
My heart goes out to the family of John. I cannot imagine how this must hurt them, and take a devistating toll on their lives. I hope answers are found, and the mystery of John’s disappearance is figured out someday.
