    After watching the show, I think you should stop putting the pressure on the suspects and instead, publicly call out the police.

    I started a local crime blog and our community does a great job of holding police accountable. We don’t have problems with our police.

    public shame. It works!!!

    Good luck!!!

    I just watched the “Disappeared” episode about John on Investigation Discovery and had a question: Had you ever attempted to place surveillance on the “Find John” posters in order to catch the person(s) who’ve been tearing them down?

    Have you tried the Doe Network yet?

    I recently saw this story on ID and remember the sign, as I am a resident of Aurora and my sister does not live far from Mr Spira’s place of business. I am wondering if you have made a page on facebook for this cause? I recently saw that someone had posted a facebook page for their lost and it definitely increased the base of communication. Good Luck & God Bless :)

    Just saw his show on ID and was wondering why no one ever put up his banner again and had it monitored with a camera or around the clock people watching it ???

    Dear Spira family, 11/23/2011

    Just watched the “Disappeared” episode about John on Investigation Discovery. My heart goes out to you for having to endure such tragedy. I pray that you will find peace soon.

    As others on this blog have implied, you may have missed an opportunity to gain important information by not conducting surveillance on the second banner that was torn down. It might make sense to erect another banner on the same site. If the banner is not destroyed again, you would constantly keep John’s disappearance in local memory.

  7. Yes, there is a FB page for John; it’s missingjohnspira. Please friend him, thanks!!!
